Statute overview

About this statute

In certain villages in the transferred area, land consolidation rules are applied under this law. The law also defines “village” as a land-and-water-law village, except for section 60. A land consolidation procedure should be carried out in each village covered by section 1, except for the exceptions mentioned in section 63. At a land-adjustment proceeding, several listed land rearrangement measures may be carried out, and compensation may be set for loss of use of the border strip right of way. Lantmäteristyrelsen is responsible for the general leadership and supervision of how this law is carried out. Land reallocation proceedings are carried out by the officials referred to in section 43, and the National Land Survey Board may appoint survey engineers and change or end their area of service.
