This chapter contains general provisions. Plans and goals under this law for land use must be taken into account when other laws are used to plan and decide how environmental use is regulated. Kommuner får ta fram gemensamma generalplaner, och statsrådet får godkänna riksomfattande mål för områdesanvändningen och regionstrukturen.
