About this statute

The provision defines when a programme is treated as a European programme. A program that is not otherwise treated as European must be treated as European to the extent its EEA-based production contribution matches its share of total production costs. A TV broadcast of a socially important event is treated as reaching a significant part of the public if 90% of the population can receive it with ordinary equipment without paying a separate fee. Förordningen träder i kraft den 1 februari 1999.
