About this statute
Utvecklingscentralen för läkemedelsbehandling ska samla in och utvärdera information om klinisk läkemedelsbehandling och förbättra behandlingspraxis genom utbildning och information. The Development Centre for Pharmaceutical Treatment must have a director and a delegation, and the delegation must include the most important organizations and bodies for the centre’s activities. The Development Centre for Medicines is entitled to receive specified information free of charge, despite secrecy rules, when the information is needed to carry out tasks required by this law. It may not disclose business or professional secrets it obtained while carrying out those tasks. The Council of State may issue further regulations, if needed, on how this Act is carried out and on certain staffing matters at the Development Centre for Drug Treatment. This section says the law enters into force on 1 March 2003, and later text also states an entry into force date of 15 April 2006. It also allows measures needed to start the Development Centre for Drug Treatment to be taken before the law enters into force.
