About this statute

Certain listed ministerial officials may reserve decision-making authority in matters that would otherwise be handled by a subordinate. State secretaries appointed for the Prime Minister’s or a minister’s term must assist and represent them, carry out several listed support tasks, and may also work in ministries within the minister’s responsibility area. Kanslichefen must lead and oversee the ministry’s activities, and special advisers are appointed by the prime minister and may take part in certain ministry meetings.
