37 § Jollei tässä laissa toisin säädetä, noudatetaan soveltuvin osin, mitä kansaneläkelain (347/1956) 35, 37―39, 39 b, 40―42, 43 ja 44 §:ssä, 45 §:n 1, 2 ja 4 momentissa, 46 ja 46 b §:ssä, 46 c §:n 2―4 momentissa, 46 d―46 f, 46 i, 46 j, 73, 73 a, 73 b, 74, 74 b, 74 c, 79, 80, 82, 85, 86, 88, 88 a ja 88 b §:ssä säädetään. Jos lapseneläkkeen saaja ei ole ennen eläkkeen alkamista asunut Suomessa kansaneläkelain 41 §:ssä edellytettyä 10 vuoden aikaa, eläke voidaan ulkomailla asumisen estämättä maksaa, jos lapsen huoltaja täyttää asumisvaatimuksen.
