Statute overview

About this statute

This chapter contains general provisions. For certain sections, the provision treats specified conglomerate entities as a consolidated group’s parent company and financial institution, unless Finansinspektionen decides otherwise in an individual case. Most firms may not use “bank” in their name unless the use is clearly not misleading; some firms may use bank-related references, and Finansinspektionen may make group-supervision agreements with EEA supervisors. Certain concession applications require opinions from specified funds or supervisory authorities before the application is handled. A credit institution may be granted a concession only if extra conditions are met when it belongs to certain consolidation groups.
