About this statute
Chapter 1: General provisions. This section says certain provisions of the Insurance Companies Act do not apply to occupational pension insurance companies. Concession can be granted only if at least half of the founders live in or have their domicile in the EEA, unless the Ministry grants an exception. Board members must be reputable and knowledgeable about occupational pension insurance, and board expertise in investment activities must be sufficient. People who are to be elected to the supervisory board or board must give dated, signed consent before election. This section sets eligibility and composition rules for the management of certain insurance company bodies, including bans on disqualified persons, EEA residency requirements, independence requirements, and conflicts-of-interest limits.
