Statute overview

About this statute

The appointed representative of an insurance company must promptly report certain supervisory bans to the trade register authority and enforcement authorities. Notices under 1 § may be sent by post or fax, and to enforcement authorities also by phone or electronic message. Patent- och registerstyrelsen must promptly record specified insurance-related prohibitions and related details in the trade register. Ombudet must promptly notify the competent register keeper when a transfer-or-pledge prohibition starts, ends, or otherwise ceases, and the register keeper must promptly record it. If the insurance company trades securities, derivatives, or currency, the ombudsman must also notify the clearing organisation. The provision extends earlier rules on notification to authorities and registration of certain prohibitions so they also apply to insurance associations and third-country insurance companies.
