Statute overview
About this statute
Certain conscripts and women in voluntary military service are entitled to free round-trip travel or travel reimbursement for leave trips during service. Certain people living abroad who report for military service from abroad have a right to free round-trip travel or travel reimbursement for leave trips home, or to another place for special reasons. Local transport used at the duty or leave location for leave trips covered by sections 1 and 2 is reimbursed at the general tariff. When the defence forces arrange permission transports, they must follow the rules on state finances, procurement, and service safety. This provision sets the regulation’s start date, repeals an older Ministry of Defence decision, and keeps the older rules for people already serving when the regulation takes effect.
