About this statute
The church’s labour market office must protect church interests in labour market matters and may negotiate, make agreements, and issue recommendations within the provision’s limits. The delegation normally exercises the Labour Market Authority’s decision-making power in matters under section 1, unless otherwise provided or the delegation transfers that power. Only certain consenting persons may be appointed to the delegation, and some persons connected to specified church-related organisations are not eligible. Two appointed officials may attend the delegation’s and its sections’ meetings and take part in discussions, but not in decision-making. At the church board, there is an office for the labour market authority and the staff needed to prepare its matters and carry out its decisions.
