Statute overview

About this statute

The regulation concerns the administration of a prosecutor’s office. The Prosecutor General appoints a district prosecutor as deputy chief of the prosecutor's office, on the recommendation of the chief district prosecutor, and each appointment may last up to four years. Om åklagarämbetena sköter åklagaruppgifterna tillsammans, ska Riksåklagarämbetet utfärda närmare föreskrifter om hur samarbetet ska ordnas. Riksåklagarämbetet must manage the performance steering of the prosecutor office. The head of the prosecutor’s office must manage, develop, and oversee the office’s work, and set its work order. The deputy head must assist the head in carrying out those tasks as further provided in the work order.
