Statute overview

About this statute

Chapter heading on organizing teaching and determining students’ grade level. The school has Finnish-, English-, and French-language divisions. School teaching groups must be formed so teaching can be organised according to pupils’ age and circumstances, taking the school’s resources into account. If the applicant’s age-based grade does not match their knowledge and skills, the level must be assessed by tests and the correlation table in Annex A. The principal decides which tests may be arranged. Depending on the assessment, the applicant may be admitted to a grade within the stated age gap limits. The school year starts on 1 September and ends on 31 August.
