The certificate service must be used for identifying data handlers and for electronic signing, must be used to check whether a prescriber’s right to prescribe has been limited, and the system must block signing of prescriptions affected by such limits. Elektroniska recept får förnyas inom 16 månader, och en förnyelsebegäran ska behandlas inom åtta dygn. Electronic cancellations of unissued or partly dispensed prescriptions, and cancellations of medicine dispensing, must be signed electronically. An adult patient must be reliably identified when prescription-centre data are disclosed through an electronic connection, and the patient must be told about the electronic access option and the required identification procedure.
