Statute overview

About this statute

Chapter heading: marketing and procedures in customer relations. Marketing must not violate good practice, and unfair practices must not be used against consumers or in customer relationships. Marketing is considered contrary to good practice if it conflicts with accepted social values, especially in discriminatory, dignity-violating, or harmful ways, and marketing aimed at or reaching minors is assessed more strictly. A practice is unfair if it conflicts with accepted business practices and is likely to materially impair a consumer’s ability to make an informed decision. Marknadsföring ska tydligt visa att den har ett kommersiellt syfte och vem den görs för.
