Civil marriage ceremonies must be held in the officiant’s office, unless the officiant and the engaged couple agree on a home or other suitable place; where a magistrate has granted marriage authority, the ceremony must be held at home or another suitable place at an agreed time. Sets the fee for a civil marriage at 120 euros during opening hours or 200 euros at other times, with no fee in certain hospital or closed-institution cases. Utrikesministeriet, undervisningsministeriet och vissa magistrater ska anmäla beviljade eller återkallade vigselrätter till registret och lämna de uppgifter som ska föras in där.
