Statute overview

About this statute

Konsumentrådgivningen must provide advice, help with consumer disputes, monitor prices and quality, and assist other consumer authorities on request. Konsumentverket leads and supervises consumer advice, magistrates must handle it, and service providers used for the service must follow certain public-law statutes. When buying consumer counseling services, the magistrate must make a contract with the service producer, and the contract may be for a fixed term or ongoing; a notice period shorter than two years may not be agreed.
