Statute overview

About this statute

This chapter concerns sickness allowance and partial sickness allowance. Certain rehabilitation, unemployment, and study periods are counted as work-capacity time, but sickness pension and full disability pension periods are not. If an insured person received unemployment benefit in the four months before entitlement arose, the sickness, parental, or special care allowance paid must be at least 86% of the amount previously paid. If an insured person has received unemployment benefit or alternation compensation for the same period of incapacity, sickness allowance for that period is withheld or paid to the unemployment fund up to the amount of the benefit paid.
