Statute overview

About this statute

If the prohibition in 16 § 2 mom. is breached, the Regional State Administrative Agency may issue a reprimand or written warning, or ban the sale of the beverages for up to six months. If the prohibition in 24 § 2 mom. is violated, the regional administrative authority may issue a warning or temporarily ban serving the drinks concerned for up to six months. Regionförvaltningsverket must handle licensing and supervision of retail and serving of alcoholic beverages in its area, and also supervise alcohol advertising and sales promotion. The supervisory authorities may inspect licence holders’ premises, activities, transport of alcohol, relevant documents, samples, and information, and they must keep an alcohol industry register and remove certain records after five years. Vissa tjänstemän har rätt att få handräckning från andra myndigheter, och andra myndigheter ska lämna upplysningar trots tystnadsplikt när uppgifterna behövs för tillsyn, verkställighet eller vissa tillståndsärenden.
