Statute overview

About this statute

A housing cooperative’s bylaws must state several required items, including its name, domicile municipality, member fee obligations, use-fee basis, board/auditor numbers and terms, accounting period, and how and when meetings are called. The ordinary housing association meeting must be held within six months after the end of the financial period. An extra association meeting must be convened when required by a meeting decision, the board, an auditor, a business examiner, or enough members request it; the board must issue the notice within 14 days of the request.
