Statute overview

About this statute

The delegation for regional and structural policy is made up of named ministry and regional representatives, may invite experts, may create sections for preparing matters, and is chaired by the representative of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. Delegationen för regional- och strukturpolitik ska sköta vissa regionalpolitiska uppgifter och rapportera regelbundet till arbets- och näringsministeriet. Certain delegation members and experts may be reimbursed for lost income, travel, and other task-related costs; the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment pays the reimbursement. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment must prepare a proposal on nationwide regional development goals, and the Council of State’s decision must include specified elements. A regional strategy must include a current-state description, implementation guidelines and key measures, financing and regional allocation principles, and a monitoring plan.
