About this statute

This section defines “en ansluten kommuns område” as an area in a municipality that has been annexed to another municipality, or has otherwise ceased to be an independent municipality. Taxitillstånd can be granted if the applicant meets the stated training and certificate requirements, unless section 19 says otherwise. Rules for taxi permits are based on applicant priority, including work experience, existing permits, and special treatment for certain remote stations. Vissa taxitillståndshavare måste anmäla jourer eller avtalade jourturer till länsstyrelsen när tillstånd söks och sedan minst en gång per år. Länsstyrelsen must set the annual maximum number of taxi permits per municipality and keep it high enough not to restrict taxi service availability or quality at peak demand.
