About this statute

A purchase witness employed by an authority or municipality must use the authority’s designation and a personal identification number. A purchase witness appointed by the Land Survey Office is assigned a designation by that office. The purchase witness must give the buyer instructions for applying for title registration, and the National Land Survey central administration must ensure that instructions and forms are sent to land survey offices, other authorities, and municipalities. Köpvittnet ska lämna the notification electronically within two days after the deed or other transfer document is certified, with paper or fax allowed only for very strong reasons.
