Statute overview

About this statute

A cooperation ombudsman is attached to the Ministry of Employment and the Economy, is appointed by the Government for up to five years at a time, must meet the stated qualification requirements, and must act independently when carrying out supervisory tasks. Samarbetsombudsmannen must supervise compliance, support workplace cooperation, advise on the relevant laws, oversee certain personnel funds, and keep a register of personnel funds. The Cooperation Ombudsman must have an office with a necessary number of reporting officers and other employees. Arbetsgivaren måste på begäran lämna samarbetsombudsmannen nödvändiga uppgifter och handlingar för tillsyn, och ombudsmannen kan koppla skyldigheten till vite. The cooperation ombudsman, or a delegated official, may conduct necessary inspections in companies for supervisory purposes, but inspections must not cause unnecessary inconvenience or costs and may not be carried out in premises used for permanent residence.
