About this statute

Nationwide employer and employee associations may agree differently on listed working-time rules, but the average weekly working time may not exceed 40 hours over up to 52 weeks. An employer also has no right to state compensation for certain travel, and a collective agreement clause that worsens protected benefits is invalid. The employer must keep this law and related rules freely available to workers at the workplace, and these documents must also be available in English.
