About this statute
Drivers must not operate a vehicle if illness, disability, injury, fatigue, or a similar cause means they are not fit to do so; motor vehicles may generally be driven only by licensed drivers, while low-power mopeds may be driven from age 15. A vehicle must not be handed over to someone who is obviously unfit to drive it for reasons covered by 63 §. A motor vehicle driver must show vehicle registration proof and any other required document when a police officer asks. If someone is sentenced for a traffic offence committed while driving a motor vehicle, the vehicle traffic register authority must be notified as the Ministry of Justice prescribes.
