3 § Suhde eräisiin säädöksiin Kasvinsuojeluaineiden jäämistä elintarvikkeissa ja rehuissa sekä niiden valvonnasta säädetään elintarvikelaissa (23/2006) sekä rehulaissa (86/2008) ja niiden nojalla. Kasvinsuojeluaineet, joiden hyväksyminen on peruutettu tai joiden hyväksymisen voimassaolo muutoin on lakannut, sekä muuten käytöstä poistettavat kasvinsuojeluaineet ovat vaarallista jätettä, ja niihin sovelletaan jätelakia (646/2011). Geneettisesti muunnetuista organismeista on lisäksi voimassa, mitä niistä geenitekniikkalaissa (377/1995) säädetään. Kasvinsuojeluaineita käsittelevän työturvallisuudessa on otettava lisäksi huomioon työturvallisuuslain (738/2002) vaatimukset.
