Statute overview

About this statute

The regulation sets requirements for a stock exchange to list securities and allows the exchange to add stricter or supplementary rules in its bylaws, with limits on when those rules apply. Companies and bond issuers applying to list securities on the stock exchange list must attach specified registration and constitutional documents, or substitute proof if those documents are unavailable. Shares sought for listing must meet a minimum expected market value of one million euro, or otherwise the issuer’s total equity may be used; the Financial Supervisory Authority may grant an exemption on application by the exchange if there is otherwise a sufficient market. A company applying to list shares on the stock exchange must submit audited financial statements for the three most recently completed financial periods to the exchange, in Finnish or Swedish. Securities offered to the public may be listed on the stock exchange only after the subscription or bid period has ended.
