Statute overview

About this statute

Student support is not granted to a person who already receives student support from abroad or under Åland legislation. The student must keep annual income within the free amount and can adjust it by limiting study aid months, cancelling aid for selected months, or repaying study grant and housing supplement. A student who has been admitted to both a lower and a higher university degree is entitled to student aid for the month of the lower degree, and the aid may be adjusted to the higher degree without application once the lower degree is completed.
