Statute overview

About this statute

Chapter heading about employers’ joint liability when employing workers who are unlawfully present in the country. This chapter applies to employers who hired an undocumented third-country national, and also to the employer’s contractual parties and other contractual parties under the chapter. This section defines “underleverantör,” “uppdragsgivare,” and “huvuduppdragsgivare.” An employer who has hired one or more workers covered by section 1 must pay a penalty fee. The penalty fee amount must be assessed by considering intentional and repeated conduct, other circumstances when the employment relationship began, the employment terms, and how many covered workers are involved.
