About this statute

Arbets- och näringsbyrån and the municipality must start an initial mapping for certain immigrants, and it must begin within two months. An immigrant has a right to an integration plan if they are an unemployed jobseeker or receive income support for more than a temporary period. An integration plan may also be prepared for another immigrant if an initial assessment shows a need for one to promote integration. The employment office must direct the immigrant to integration training or voluntary studies; the ELY Centre handles arrangements for training carried out as labour market training, and the municipality may organise training and direct the immigrant to municipal training or voluntary studies.
