About this statute
Kapitlet handlar om principer för förundersökning och rättigheter för dem som deltar i en förundersökning. During a pre-investigation, a party has the right to choose their own counsel, and authorities must inform and help secure that right in specified situations. A person summoned for a pre-trial investigation must appear at the nearest suitable office of the investigating authority that sent the summons, or at an equivalent office of another investigating authority. A person found at or near a crime scene must stay or go immediately to the nearest suitable office when instructed by a preliminary investigation officer. The investigation protocol must include interview records, reports on investigative measures and observations, attach certain materials from the investigation, and note what surplus information was used in the crime investigation.
