Statute overview

About this statute

People acquiring significant holdings in an electronic money institution must notify Finansinspektionen in advance, and the institution must also report ownership information annually and promptly report known changes. The confidentiality rule in 7 kap. 14 § of the Co-operative Societies Act does not apply to payment institutions or companies in the same group. The register authority may not issue certain certificates for a seat transfer if the Financial Supervisory Authority has reported non-compliance; before one month has passed, a certificate may be issued only if the Authority does not object.
