About this statute
The permit authority must send copies of its decision to people who specifically asked for it and to certain authorities involved in the case. For mining permit grants, a copy must be sent immediately to the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority and the National Land Survey. The permit authority must send a copy of the decision to the owners and holders of property in the mining area, and it must also send a copy to the National Land Survey without delay. Lantmäteriverket must promptly issue an order for a mining survey after notice that a mining area redemption permit or mining permit has been granted, and the survey may not end until both permits are legally final. The mining authority must also give an opinion if Lantmäteriverket asks for one. A mining proceeding may be registered after it has become final, even if compensation has not been paid. Payment of compensation does not need to be notified to the National Land Survey of Finland. An application for a survey procedure must be made within three years after damage or inconvenience occurs. The National Land Survey may issue an order on application, and the Mining Authority must give an opinion when the National Land Survey asks for one.
