About this statute
The Ministry of Education and Culture is responsible for developing youth work and youth policy, the Regional State Administrative Agency is the state regional authority for youth work and youth policy matters, and the ministry and the agency jointly handle result objectives and youth policy coordination. Statsrådet must approve a youth policy development program every four years, and the program must set national youth policy goals and guidelines for regional and municipal program work. The State Youth Affairs Delegation must give opinions, make proposals, and produce current information on young people; it may also have sections for case preparation. The commission is appointed by the Government Council and must give annual proposals and opinions to the Ministry of Education and Culture, and assess supported organisations on request. The Ministry of Education and Culture approves the organizations that receive grants under this section.
