About this statute
The provision says which rules apply to detained foreign nationals and gives the discrimination ombudsman a right to visit detention facilities, speak privately with detainees, and supervise deportation enforcement at all stages. Authorities must inform the Discrimination Ombudsman about specified decisions under this Act, and must do so without delay for detention decisions. The Non-Discrimination Ombudsman has the right, on request, to be heard in individual cases about asylum seekers or expulsion of foreigners.
