Statute overview

About this statute

This provision says the regulation covers the content, preparation and approval of local rescue service plans for oil spill response, and the preparedness of oil depots, ports and operators at facilities. The local rescue service’s oil-spill response plan must include specified organizational, coordination, preparedness, cost, training, storage, and waste-handling information. Cooperation plans must be prepared for the listed areas, including the Gulf of Finland, the Archipelago Sea, the Bothnian Bay, and the Saimen deep fairway.
