Statute overview

About this statute

State aid for shipbuilding innovations may be granted under the budget, and it must meet the EU framework conditions and the Commission approval decision mentioned here. Subsidy may be granted for projects that are the first industrial application of innovative products or processes, if the support is limited to eligible innovation-related costs. Subsidy can be granted only if the project is in Finland, the recipient has conditions for continued profitable activity, is not a distressed company, the project will be completed within three years, and the support has an incentive effect on innovation.
