Statute overview

About this statute

The provision says court fees and application fees are charged as compensation for handling a case or matter and for actions taken by a court. This section sets court fees for different courts and case types, including special fees for public procurement cases and EU simplified procedures. Justitieministeriet may issue rules on application and processing fees for certain cases and matters in district court, market court, and appeal court, and the fees may be capped at the state’s average total cost. In certain court cases, no fee is charged; in some procurement appeals at the Market Court, a 500 euro fee is charged instead of the fee in section 2. Avgifter enligt denna lag tas inte ut i många uppräknade ärenden, bland annat vissa social-, hälso-, barnskydds-, internationellt skydd-, skuldsanerings-, rättshjälps- och valärenden.
