About this statute

Certain insurance companies must pay a traffic safety fee to the Traffic Insurance Centre in 2016. The traffic safety fee is distributed as specified amounts to Trafikskyddet, the Åland Government, and the traffic insurance central body for promoting road safety. Insurance companies must pay quarterly advances to the traffic insurance central office, with specified due dates, and settle any positive difference by set July deadlines. The central office must also report certain shares to Trafikskyddet and the Åland regional government within two days of each due date. Trafikförsäkringscentralen and Ålands landskapsregering must send reports to the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health by 31 March 2017. The regulation enters into force on 1 January 2016 and applies to the collection of the traffic safety fee for 2016.
