Statute overview

About this statute

This chapter concerns the tasks and management of the Prison Healthcare Unit. This law applies to the Prison Health Care Unit under the National Institute for Health and Welfare, and its area of operation covers the whole country. The Prison Health Care Unit must arrange health care for prisoners and remand prisoners. The prison health care unit is led by a director, who decides matters concerning the unit unless they are assigned to the board or another official in the rules of procedure.
