About this statute

Chapter heading: about imprisonment. A court may, at the prosecutor’s request, order that a convicted person be released only after serving the full prison sentence, if the sentence is at least three years and concerns the listed serious offences or related attempt/complicity. En militär förman eller annan förman kan dömas som gärningsman eller medverkande om underlydande begår vissa brott och förmannen har försummat tillsynen. A military superior or other superior must take necessary and reasonable steps to refer a suspected subordinate crime to the authorities; otherwise the superior can be fined or jailed for up to two years. A person who knows that certain serious crimes are about to be committed must report them in time to the authorities or the threatened person, if the crime can still be prevented.
