Statute overview

About this statute

The Security Police decides whether a security investigation of a person or company will be carried out, unless headquarters decides under subsection 3. Skyddspolisen may handle certain person security-check applications at a different level when the security conditions in the section are met. A normal security screening of a person may rely only on the listed register data. A company security investigation may be carried out when it is needed to assess the company, including when the supervising authority requests one in the specified situations. Security Police may disclose security investigation register data to the Defence Command and, in certain cases, to designated officials for assessing security-screening needs.
