Statute overview

About this statute

The law gives certain students a right to student health services, and it does not apply to some listed upper-secondary students. The provision defines what student welfare includes: curriculum-based student welfare, student welfare decided under the Vocational Education Act, and student welfare services such as psychologist, social worker, school health care, and student health care services. This provision defines school health under the curriculum and school health arranged by the education provider. The education provider and the municipality where the school is located must organize student welfare and related psychologist/counselor services for students. Certain education providers may provide student health services to support teaching and training, and they must file a notification with the regional state administrative agency.
