Statute overview

About this statute

In 2017, commemorative silver coins themed “Finländsk tango” are minted in denominations of 20 and 10 euro. Section 2 sets the metal composition for 20 euro and 10 euro commemorative coins and allows the metal content to vary by up to 10 promille units. This section sets the physical specifications for 20-euro and 10-euro commemorative coins, and allows at most 5% of coins to deviate from the stated diameter tolerance. Jubilee coins are specially minted, and the first 200 coins of each of the 20-euro and 10-euro denominations may be numbered. The commemorative coins must have their images and inscriptions placed so both sides are upright when the coin is turned like a book, and the coins must carry the designer’s stylized initials and the Mint of Finland logo.
