Statute overview

About this statute

Some education providers are entitled to state funding at set percentages, with a possible higher rate for certain schools and an extra rule for integration-related education. The Ministry of Education and Culture annually sets the counts used to calculate the state subsidy, including the counts that qualify for 100% subsidy. For merged institutions, the counts are set separately for each form of institution. Reasonable tuition fees may be charged to students, except for certain instruction approved in a student’s integration plan.
