Statute overview

About this statute

Chapter 5 concerns travel prohibitions. A person subject to a travel ban may be ordered not to leave or move within the specified area, to report to police or border authorities, to stay reachable at home or work at set times, to stay in a facility or hospital, to avoid contact with certain persons, and to hand over a passport and approved ID card. The section says that, during a preliminary investigation, certain covert investigative methods may be used against the person the measure is directed at. This section says rules on registering information-source data are found in other laws, and rules on paying remuneration are also found in other laws. Polisen, Tullen och Gränsbevakningsväsendet may use false, misleading, or concealed information, false register entries, and false documents when needed to protect secret coercive measures.
