Statute overview
About this statute
The compensation amount for each completed occupational health specialist physician training is 64,700 euros. Työterveyslaitos may pay compensation to certain universities for specialist occupational health physician training costs, up to set limits, and universities must promptly report changes in the information they have given. Työterveyslaitos may use 1,120,000 euros of the grant for specified specialist training costs, but not for costs already covered by state subsidy under another provision. Työterveyslaitos may, on application, pay compensation to private health service providers and employer-run health stations, subject to a per-doctor and per-training-month cap and an overall cap. Certain private health service providers and employer-maintained health stations must apply in writing to Työterveyslaitos for the compensation under section 4 within three months after each half-year period ends.
