Statute overview

About this statute

This section says the Act applies to savings agreements where money is paid into the named saver’s personal account to be invested in the Act’s specified investment objects. This section defines key terms used in the Act, including service provider, saver, share savings account, and savings funds. Certain deposit banks, EEA credit institutions, securities firms, and EEA securities firms may provide share savings account agreements. Finansinspektionen keeps a list of service providers, and a service provider may offer stock savings agreements only after notifying Finansinspektionen. A service provider may receive up to EUR 50,000 on an investment savings account under an account agreement, and the saver may withdraw the savings at any time.
