About this statute
The delegation for space affairs must carry out assigned tasks related to promoting the space sector, international cooperation, monitoring legal and policy developments, making proposals and statements, improving visibility and communication, and any other tasks assigned by the Ministry of Employment and the Economy. The Government appoints the delegation for three-year terms, on presentation by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. If the chair, vice chair, or a member leaves or is permanently unable to participate, the ministry appoints a replacement for the remaining term. The delegation may invite permanent and temporary experts as needed. Delegationen may have a secretariat and may set up sections, appoint section leaders and members, and issue instructions for handling matters. The delegation meets when called by the chair, or by the vice chair if the chair is prevented, and it may adopt its own working order. This provision says the regulation enters into force on 1 July 2019 and repeals the regulation on the delegation for space matters (288/1992).
